Registration is now open for the 2015 Kimmswick 5K

Sign up to fundraise; run for free and earn great perks and prizes

Registration is now open for the 5th annual Kimmswick 5K, on Saturday, Aug. 29! So go here now to sign up!

Your registration includes your entry, a t-shirt, lunch from The Blue Owl and post-race thirst quenchers. Plus, as always, the top three finishers in each age group will win one of the Blue Owl's famous pies. And once again this year, you can fundraise with us to get your race entry refunded and to earn more great perks, including a chance to win an iPad!

As always, we're raising funds and awareness to fight the battle against ALS. All funds raised this year will be split between The ALS Association and  the Nancy Ratliff Medical Fund. Nancy continues to battle ALS with the love and support of family and friends. Her total paralysis and ventilator dependency require 24-hour care at home, far exceeding her health insurance coverage and the family's resources. The Medical Fund helps to offset the catastrophic medical bills.

So please join us in our fundraising effort. Even if you can’t make it to the race, you can still participate. The more you raise, the more you'll receive!

Here's How It Works

Raise  And you'll receive
$100 One free race entry (or a race t-shirt if you’re not participating in the race)

$250 One free race entry (or a race t-shirt if you’re not participating in the race)
One Mini Levee High Apple Pie from The Blue Owl

$500 One free race entry (or a race t-shirt if you’re not participating in the race)

2014 Kimmswick 5K raises $50,000 for The Nancy Ratliff Medical Fund

A massive, heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in this year's Kimmswick 5K -- from friends and family to The Blue Owl to all the participants to the sponsors to the donors to the volunteers to Fredbird and everyone else who had a hand in making the 4th annual event the most successful one yet.

Between registrations, sponsorships, donations, the silent auction, the 50/50 raffle and fundraising on Crowdrise, we were able to raise an unprecedented $50,000 for The Nancy Ratliff Medical Fund this year.

Chris Dollenmeyer won the men's division (and a Levee High Apple Pie from The Blue Owl) with a time of 18:42, while Erika Holroyd set a new women's record with a time of 18:49 to take second overall (and a Levee High Apple Pie, to boot). And Allison Turner blazed across the finish line first in the 1-mile walk & fun run.

You can view the complete results here.

We also gave away an iPad to Jen Langosch in our raffle for everyone who raised $100 or more on Crowdrise. And Shelley LaRose -- who, coincidentally, has the same birthday as Nancy Ratliff -- won $413.50 in our 50/50 raffle, though she only accepted $250 and gave the rest to the Nancy Ratliff Medical Fund (thank you, Shelley!).

Thanks so much to everyone for another great event!
